Transportation to Keflavik Airport

Shuttle services to and from Keflavik Airport are available for everyone, with a drive time of approximately 45 minutes from Reykjavik to the airport. Operators can contact the shuttle companies responsible for the services to get information about routes, schedules, and prices. For more information, visit: https://www.kefairport.is/ruta

STAFF PARKING AT KEF

Employees using the staff parking at Keflavik Airport pay 2,900 ISK per month. The fee covers a full month.

For Employees

Parking Card: Employees can purchase access to staff parking. To apply, they need to send an email to parking@kefairport.is with their employee ID, name, national ID number, and the company they work for. An invoice will be sent to the employee’s online banking.

For Operators

Operators who pay for their staff's parking add new employees to the Autopay account and remove them when they leave. Parking cards are valid for a full month and must be canceled with at least 10 days' notice.

The fee for employee passes is paid monthly in arrears. Invoices are sent with a due date of the 20th of each month. If the fee is not paid by this date, interest will be charged according to Article 1 of Section 6 of the Interest Act No. 38/2001.

Rules for Issuance and Validity of Parking Cards

Access to parking is only for employees with a station at the airport. Access is managed through Autopay and automatic cameras that read vehicle license plates.

Pilots and flight crew of airlines operating scheduled or charter flights from the airport are considered to have a station at the airport. Pilots and flight crew may park for up to 72 hours within a 90-hour period. After that, a fee of 750 ISK per hour applies, but no more than 5,000 ISK per day.

Parking cards may only be used when the employee is working at the airport, for a maximum of 16 hours within a 24-hour period (for regular employees). After that, a fee of 750 ISK per hour applies, but no more than 5,000 ISK per day.

Time tracking begins as soon as the vehicle enters the parking area.

The monthly fee for a parking card is 2,900 ISK. The company is responsible for registering and deregistering employees in the Autopay system.

Those who pay for parking themselves must send an email to parking@kefairport.is.

Isavia uses the personal data provided on this form, such as name, email address, and phone number, to process applications and identify applicants. Information is not shared with third parties. After the application process is completed, the data will be stored for 30 years and then transferred to the National Archives of Iceland, in accordance with Act No. 77/2014 on Public Archives. Staff parking is located a 5-minute walk north of Keflavik Airport.

  1. General Terms and Conditions

1.1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of parking spaces at Keflavík Airport terminal by terminal employees.

1.2. Staff parking for Keflavik Airport terminal is located at the west end of P3. See picture Here

1.3 Parking access is only for staff whose place of work is the airport terminal. Access is managed by Isavia ohf. staff (KEF Parking)

1.4. Isavia’s KEF Parking can be contacted by calling 425-6400, or by e-mailing parking@isavia.is. Isavia’s website is https://www.isavia.is/

1.5. Automatic licence plate readers read your plate number when you enter and exit and link it to the employee’s Autopay account.

1.6. Employees may only use a parking space while they are at work in the airport terminal. Maximum length of stay is 16 hours at a time (general staff), over a 24-hour period. After that, ISK 750 are collected per hour, although no more than ISK 5,000 per 24-hour period.

1.7. Pilots and flight crew of airlines that operate scheduled or chartered flights from the airport terminal are considered to have their place of work there. Pilots and flight crew can be parked 72 hours at a time over a 90-hour period. After that, ISK 750 are collected per hour, although no more than ISK 5,000 per 24-hour period.

1.8. Parking duration is counted from the time a vehicle enters through the gate of the parking area and until the vehicle exits through the gate.

1.9. The monthly fee for access to staff parking spaces is ISK 2,900. Each company is responsible for registering and deleting its employees in the Autopay system, and is also responsible for paying the parking fees of its employees.

1.10. Other parties who use staff parking at Keflavik Airport Terminal must e-mail parking@kefairport.is to gain access, and provide their name, personal ID no., name of their company and a photo of their employee ID.

1.11. If a party is found to have misused the parking facilities, Isavia ohf. reserves the right to terminate the employee's access to parking.

 

 

  1. Driver Conduct

2.1 Employees are obliged to drive safely, obey applicable speed limits and comply in all respects with the relevant traffic regulations.

2.2. Parking is only allowed within designated parking spaces. For vehicles parked in other areas, Isavia ohf. reserves the right to take appropriate measures, including the transport of vehicles to an appropriate location.

4.3. Isavia ohf. staff may have vehicles removed for operational or security reasons.

4.4. If Isavia ohf. must take appropriate measures to respond to your violation of this agreement or applicable laws, the owner/custodian of the vehicle in question will be held responsible for any resulting costs.

  1. Personal Data

3.1. Handling of user data is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations on privacy and data storage.

3.2. The information you provide will only be used for processing bookings. The processing is carried out by Isavia ohf. and Autopay and will generally not be turned over to other parties.

  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

4.1. These Terms and Conditions and any agreements between Isavia ohf. and customers based on them are governed by Icelandic law. In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, agreements based on them or other matters relating to the renting of parking spaces at Keflavik Airport, such disputes shall be referred to the District Court of Reykjavík.

  1. Revision/Amendments of Terms and Conditions

5.1. Isavia ohf. may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this website.
